Creating a New Account

GTCC uses Microsoft Office 365 college-wide for email. If you are new to the college, please make sure you have been provided with your new GTCC email address, which will end with @gtcc.edu. 

  1. Go to your Titan Live account.
  2. Enter your GTCC email address and click Next.
  3. Enter your password. For new users, your password is your birth date in the form MMDDYY (two digit month, two digit day, two digit year).
  4. Once your enter your birth date as your initial password, you will be prompted to change your password. Follow the instructions on the screen to change your password. (Note: Your "current" password will be your birth date in the following format: MMDDYY.) New passwords must meet the following criteria:
    • Must not contain the user's account name or parts of the user's full name that exceed two consecutive characters.
    • Be at least twelve (12) characters in length.
    • Contain characters from three of the following four categories:
      • English uppercase characters (A through Z)
      • English lowercase characters (a through z)
      • Base 10 digits (0 through 9)
      • Non-alphabetic characters (for example, !, $, #, %)
  5. Click the Submit button.
  6. The next screen will prompt: "More information required." Click Next.
  7. You will be prompted to set up a method to reset your password. Choose from:
    • Authentication Phone
    • Authentication Email Address
    • Security Questions
  8. Follow the directions for the selection you choose.
  9. Click the Submit button.
  10. Once your have completed your password reset option, you will be directed to your Titan Live account.

Resetting Account

You can reset your Titan Live account password by following these steps. (Note: You will be prompted every 90 days to update your password.)

  1. Go to your Titan Live account.
  2. Enter your GTCC email address or click on your account then click Next.
  3. On the page to enter your password, click the link "Forgot my password."
  4. Your email address may already be in the user ID box, if not enter it.
  5. In the box provided, enter the characters in the picture or the words in the audio and click Next.
  6. Follow the directions for the method you chose to reset your password when you set up your account:
    • Authentication Phone
    • Authentication Email Address
    • Security Questions
  7. Follow the instructions on the screen to change your password. New passwords must meet the following criteria:
    • Must not contain the user's account name or parts of the user's full name that exceed two consecutive characters.
    • Must not be any of user's previous 24 passwords.
    • Be at least twelve (12) characters in length.
    • Contain characters from three of the following four categories:
      • English uppercase characters (A through Z)
      • English lowercase characters (a through z)
      • Base 10 digits (0 through 9)
      • Non-alphabetic characters (for example, !, $, #, %)
  8. Click the Submit button.
  9. Once your have reset your password, you will be directed to your Titan Live account.

Unlocking Account

Your account may be locked for a number of reasons. For example:

  • Your accounts will lock out after 15 invalid attempts. Accounts automatically unlock after 15 minutes from lock, or a password administrator can unlock them.
  • Microsoft may notice some unusual activity on your account. To help protect you from potential fraud or abuse, Microsoft may temporarily lock your account. 

To unlock your account, you may need to reset your password or contact an administrator for assistance.
