GTCC to host Student for a Day in April

EXPLORE WHAT IT'S LIKE TO BE A GTCC STUDENT
JAMESTOWN, N.C. — Explore college life during Guilford Technical Community College’s Student for a Day event in April. Meet faculty, talk with current students, and explore what it’s like to be a GTCC student.
Student for a Day will be held throughout April on GTCC’s Jamestown, Greensboro and High Point campuses. The event provides an opportunity for students and their families to get to know GTCC’s campuses, community and academic programs. Each event will begin with a check-in and welcome session, followed by an array of activities. Prospective students will have the opportunity to:
- Tour campus
- Speak with faculty and staff about their program of interest
- Explore Student Life opportunities such as athletics and student clubs
- Learn more about support services GTCC offers, including tutoring, career counseling and financial aid
- Attend a student panel discussion comprised of current GTCC students discussing what to expect during the first year of college.
In addition, parents will have an opportunity to attend a special breakout session on all of the resources available to help their child succeed at GTCC. There also will be information on all of the support services GTCC offers, including tutoring, career counseling and financial aid.
Student for a Day will be held on the following dates and locations:
High Point Campus Open House
When: 3-6 p.m. Saturday, April 8 (program begins at 3 p.m.)
Where: H4 building, Room 203, GTCC High Point Campus, 901 S. Main St., High Point
Jamestown Campus
When: 9 a.m.-12 p.m. Saturday, April 22 (program begins at 9 a.m.)
Where: Joseph S. Koury Hospitality Careers Center auditorium, GTCC Jamestown Campus, 601 E. Main St., Jamestown
Greensboro Campus Open House
When: 9 a.m.-12 p.m. Saturday, April 29 (program begins at 9 a.m.)
Where: Adult Education Center, Room 161, GTCC Greensboro Campus, 3505 E. Wendover Ave., Greensboro.
