HIGH POINT, N.C. — The Guilford Technical Community College Music Ensemble Showcase will be held Friday, April 27 at 7 p.m. in the H-4 Live Sound Lab on GTCC’s High Point Campus.
The spring concert will feature a variety of songs from two groups, a small jazz combo and the main music ensemble. Musical selections will include jazz standards and songs originally performed by Maroon 5, Lenny Kravitz, Peter Gabriel, Cream, Lady Antebellum, Stevie Wonder, Audioslave, Stone Temple Pilots and Joni Mitchell. The nine-person ensemble consists of GTCC Music and Entertainment Technology students and is led by Dr. Mark Dillon and Dr. Mark Wheeler.
GTCC students present up to three programs each academic year to showcase their talents and accomplishments. Entertainment Technology students will also support the live show through an extraordinary light and sound experience.
Tickets are available online and at the door one hour prior to the show. Admission is $5 for students; $10 for faculty and staff, seniors and veterans; and $15 for general admission.
