Tony Wohlgemuth and his childhood buddies had a dream. But it wasn't until he met his wife, Donna, that Kersey Valley became a sensation. Photo by Jerry Wolford & Scott Muthersbaugh.
Tony Wohlgemuth grew up on a struggling farm in Archdale, N.C. He felt so tied to the place that he decided as a young teenager that he would do whatever he had to do to hang on to the farm. Now, the GTCC alumnus hosts 100,000 people a year at his farm, Kersey Valley.
He has ziplines and trampolines; escape rooms; laser tag; Spookywoods, which includes a Halloween haunted house and fright-filled wooded trail; a meandering corn maze; and a Christmas wonderland. See how he made it all happen. Originally published at OurState.com.
