Guilford County Schools sees increase in dual enrollment, saving time and money for students

Guilford County Schools (GCS) has experienced a substantial increase in dual enrollment, with participation rising by about 46% last year, as students enroll in college-level courses while still in high school. These students completed over 10,000 college courses, resulting in approximately $2 million in tuition savings.

The dual enrollment program operates through North Carolina’s Career and College Promise (CCP) initiative, allowing high schoolers to take free college classes at Guilford Technical Community College.
