GTCC Hosted Firefighters from Mexico for Specialized Training

GTCC welcomed a group of firefighters from Mexico for the second consecutive year for specialized training focused on pump operations and water supply techniques. Participants practiced moving large volumes of water over long distances and drawing water from sources such as lakes, rivers and ponds.

The training provided practical skills especially valuable in areas where dependable municipal water systems may not always be available. During their visit, the firefighters also toured a fire station in Thomasville as part of their experience in Guilford County.
