Meet Titan, GTCC's new mascot!

Meet GTCC's new mascot Titan in person on Thursday, Nov. 12, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Medlin Quad on the Jamestown campus.

It’s official: GTCC finally has a mascot! Say hello to Titan, an eastern box turtle and North Carolina’s very own state reptile. He’s here, he’s ready, and he cannot wait to meet you.

Titan is GTCC’s official mascot, representing the steady, determined spirit of our community and bringing school spirit to our campuses, athletic events, and student life. Our students, faculty, staff, and alumni have always been known as the Titans. Now that identity has a face, a personality, and a whole lot of school pride.

GTCC has been Titan country from the start. For years, we were visually represented by a Spartan helmet, but we never had a mascot to call our own. Now Titan is here to stay.

And you’ll be seeing a lot of him. Titan will turn up at orientation, welcome week, athletic events, and student life programs, show up in our recruitment materials, and make plenty of appearances across GTCC’s social media.

So when you spot Titan around campus, say hello, snap a photo for your feed, and enjoy getting to know him. Better yet, meet him in person on Thursday, Nov. 12, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Medlin Quad on the Jamestown campus. Take a selfie and show your Titan pride!
