What is the Access Amazing Scholarship?

Cost of tuition, courses, and fees can be paid per semester: 1. fully by financial aid; 2. a third by financial aid, a third by a $500 student contribution, and a third by the Access Amazing Scholarship; or 3. by a $500 student contribution and the rest by the Access Amazing ScholarshipThe Access Amazing Scholarship is designed to remove cost as a barrier for students graduating from a Guilford County high school and provide access to quality higher education for students to pursue their educational and career goals in Guilford County.

The scholarship is a "last dollar" scholarship* that pays the remaining balance of student in-state tuition, college fees, and course fees once all other federal and state grants, and outside and college scholarships and sponsorships are applied.

Some students will be eligible to have up to $4,500 of annual in-state tuition and fees covered. No eligible student will pay more than $500 towards in-state tuition, college and course fees per semester. Most students will owe nothing if they qualify for Pell and state grants.

* Books and instructional supplies are not included. Funding for the Access Amazing Scholarship is contingent on funds availability.
