The Collision Repair and Refinishing Technology curriculum is designed to get you on the job fast using the I-CAR curriculum endorsed by the industry and accredited by the National Automotive Technicians Education Foundation (NATEF).
With certificate, diploma and AAS degree programs, you choose how far and how fast you want to go. Depending on your track, you’ll gain the skills for entry-level positions, apprenticeships or highly skilled technician roles. Plus, you’ll learn and train in our new, state-of-the-art GTCC Center for Advanced Manufacturing (CAM), featuring new equipment and greater opportunity for hands-on experience.
Course work will include auto body fundamentals, industry overview, and safety. You will perform structural and non-structural repairs using MIG welding, plastics and adhesives, and a variety of paints and finishes. You’ll be able to analyze damage and generate repair estimates. Completing the Collision Repair and Refinishing Technology program will provide you with a solid foundation for careers with franchised independent garages, dealerships, race teams, truck companies, glass shops, boat shops and more.
While the degree and diploma programs provide comprehensive training to allow you to accelerate your career after graduation, the certificate program offers a more introductory track to help you get into apprenticeships and entry-level positions quickly.
