The Food Nutrition Services Employment and Training (FNS E&T) Program was established in January 2020 to increase education and employment success for our most underserved community members. The program navigator works with applicants individually, providing referrals to needed community resources and also connecting applicants with GTCC's Workforce Training and Continuing Education program as well as curricular programs. Sponsorship or scholarship opportunities are available to qualified applicants. Enrollment at GTCC is not required for participation in the program.

To qualify, you must:

  • Reside in Guilford County
  • Receive or be eligible to receive SNAP/EBT benefits
  • Be 16-59 years old

Program services include:

  • Career assessment to identify viable career pathways
  • Scholarships for Workforce Training and Continuing Education classes
  • Support with completing GTCC applications for admission, residency, and class registration
  • Assistance with job searching and resume building
  • Basic needs assessment and basic skills training
