GTCC offers new biotechnology program to build pool of skilled workers in area's rapidly growing industry

The new program is ideal for students aiming for high-demand careers as bioprocess technicians, pharmaceutical production specialists, quality assurance analysts, and biotech lab assistants in industries such as biomanufacturing, bioengineering and biopharmaceuticals.

GTCC's new Biotechnology - Bioprocess Manufacturing Technology program – which is new this fall – will equip students with the technical knowledge and practical skills needed to succeed in the rapidly growing biotechnology industry in North Carolina.

The program can be completed over five semesters and leads to an Associate in Applied Science degree.
