Guilford Technical Community College is helping expand North Carolina’s rapidly growing apprenticeship programs by preparing students for high-demand fields while partnering with local employers through Guilford Apprenticeship Partners.

GTCC’s senior vice president of instruction, Beth Pitonzo, says employers don’t need to start big—just one or two apprentices can make an impact. With structured training and strong mentorship, apprentices gain both on-the-job experience and college coursework, setting them up for long-term career success.

By connecting students and employers, GTCC is strengthening the local workforce and supporting economic growth across the state.
