Join the GTCC community on an excursion to Argentina during Summer Break 2026.
Explore the breathtaking views of the Andes Mountains and tour local wineries to learn about sustainable viticulture! Travel to cities and areas such as Mendoza and Lavalle! Experience Yerba mate, cultural dance, and sustainable cooking classes while also taking traditional and hands-on courses at the Universidad de Congreso.
All participants will become familiar with Argentine history, music, culture, and the impact that imperialism, droughts, water conservation, and human rights have had on Argentina in a modern context. Come one, come all: students, faculty, staff, and community members alike, and embark upon this enlightening experience occurring during Summer 2026.

All participants must take the associated HUM 120 study abroad course for credit or through continuing education.

PROGRAM FEE
Cost: $5,420
Fee includes:
- 8 Nights of Accommodation
- Accommodation with host families (1-3 students per family, each w/ private room and ensuite or shared bathroom)
- Hotel accommodation for faculty leaders

- Full-Time On-Site Program Director Available 24/7 in case of Emergencies

Last day to sign up for Trip: Nov. 15, 2025* (with a $101 application fee)

*Travelers must be 18 years old by March 6, 2026, to participate.
PAYMENT
A deposit of $500 is required to reserve your spot. Once the trip application is approved, students will be enrolled in the Study Abroad Association Portal to make program payments.
For all who enroll and pay the deposit by December 20th
- $500 deposit due by December 20, 2025 (150 days before departure)
- February, 18 2026: $2,460 (90 days before departure)
- March 20, 2026: $2,460 (60 days before departure)
SCHOLARSHIP INFORMATION
Gilman Scholarship
All Pell recipients can apply for a Benjamin A. Gilman scholarship for study abroad. The scholarship application deadline is October 3, 2025. For more information, contact Tiffany Overby at taoverby@gtcc.edu.
GTCC Foundation Scholarships
All study abroad participants who have completed at least 12 credit hours at Guilford Technical Community College will have the option of applying for scholarships. For more information, contact Tiffany Overby taoverby@gtcc.edu.
