Co-Admissions Programs
GTCC partners with two local colleges – North Carolina A&T University (NC A&T) and The University of North Carolina at Greensboro (UNCG) – to offer Co-Admission Programs that provide you a seamless path from GTCC to the partner college. These are not simply college transfer programs. Co-Admission students are enrolled at both colleges and have many of the same benefits and privileges as students at the partner college.
How Co-Admission works:
- You complete your first two years at GTCC and earn your Associate degree while paying the lower community college tuition rate.
- In your third and fourth year, you take classes at NC A&T or UNCG to earn your B. A. or B.S. degree from that college.
Key benefits of Co-Admission:
- You fill out one application and pay no application fee for NC A&T or UNCG
- Save thousands of dollars in tuition and fees your first two years of college
- Coordinated federal and financial aid disbursement
- Special scholarship opportunities for co-admission students
- Coordinated degree completion including on-site advising for efficient transfer credit
To enroll as a Co-Admission student, submit a formal application to the program and meet the following admission requirements:
- Minimum SAT Scores of 500/Math and 500/Verbal or composite ACT Score of at least 21
- Minimum high school GPA of 3.0 (weighted)
- Must commit to full-time student status (16-17 credit hours of coursework per term)
To get started, email GTCC Admissions Office at admissions@gtcc.edu or call 336-334-4822 and ask for admissions.
