Forklift Operator

This forklift operator training is taught by an OSHA-compliant instructor. Training is 14 hours. It is a comprehensive, hands-on program that covers every aspect of lift truck training. This training is designed for anyone who wants to learn how to operate a forklift. Certificate of Completion is given at the end of the course when a student successfully completes the course.

Students MUST buy the book BEFORE the first day of class.

The book costs about $8 and is available at the GTCC Campus Store on the campus where the class is being held. Visit GTCC Campus Store for details. The textbook is required to get the certificate of completion.

Payment for the class is due at the time of registration.

Those who register must:

  • Be fluent in English (speaking, reading, writing)
  • Have a valid driver’s license
  • Be at least 18 years old to operate a forklift

The required book is ISBN: 9789970001804 "Lift Truck Operator Participant Workbook." From the National Safety Council.

Students who successfully complete the Forklift Operator class will receive an Award of Completion. 

Requirements for successful completion:

  • Attendance: Must be in class 100% of class hours

Students will be dropped from the class if they miss the first day and will not be eligible for refund.

The college will make a 100% refund of registration fees if you officially withdraw from class before the first meeting. Also, if the class is canceled or full, GTCC will make a full refund. Non-attendance is not a basis for a refund.
