Forklift Operator
This forklift operator training is taught by an OSHA-compliant instructor. Training is 14 hours. It is a comprehensive, hands-on program that covers every aspect of lift truck training. This training is designed for students who want to learn how to operate a forklift. Certificate of Completion is given at the end of the course when a student successfully completes the course.
Students MUST buy the book BEFORE the first day of class.
The book costs about $9 and is available at the GTCC Campus Store (Greensboro & Jamestown). Visit the GTCC Campus Store for details. The textbook is required to get the certificate of completion.

- You must be fluent in English. There are written and performance exams. Translation apps and translators are not permitted.
- You must have a valid driver’s license.
- You must be at least 18 years old.

The required book is ISBN: 9789970001804 "Lift Truck Operator Participant Workbook." From the National Safety Council. About $9 at the GTCC bookstore in person or online at the GTCC Campus Store.
Students who successfully complete the Forklift Operator class will receive an Award of Completion.
Requirements for successful completion:
- Attendance: Must be in class 100% of class hours
No. Students will be dropped from the class if they miss the first day and will not be eligible for a refund.
The college will make a 100% refund of registration fees if you officially withdraw from class before the first meeting. Also, if the class is canceled or full, GTCC will make a full refund. Non-attendance is not a basis for a refund.
