Professional Architectural Painting Tech

Architectural Painting Techniques and Business Operations is a 60-hour course designed to prepare participants for employment or self-employment in residential painting. The course covers surface inspection and preparation, masking and protection, primers, paints, stains, sealers, coatings, color selection, and application techniques for walls, ceilings, trim, doors, and other architectural surfaces.

Participants will gain knowledge using brushes, rollers, sprayers, ladders, scaffolding, and related tools and equipment. Instruction also emphasizes jobsite safety, proper material handling, equipment care, estimating labor and materials, interpreting project specifications, preparing customer quotes, scheduling work, quality control, customer service, and basic business operations. Through classroom instruction and practical exercises, participants will develop the technical and professional skills needed to complete painting projects safely, efficiently, and to industry standards.
