Certified Personal Trainer
Whether you are interested in a career move or gaining personal knowledge, this course will provide all the information you need to become a certified personal trainer. The personal trainer course is a great way to prepare to be a successful nationally certified personal trainer. The collegiate course is for candidates wanting in-depth instruction and hands-on experience with a top veteran instructor to master the career skills and knowledge to be a successful trainer. The course consists of fifteen hours of lecture with key topics that include biomechanics, exercise physiology, fitness testing, equipment usage, and health assessment, in addition to fifteen hours of hands-on practical training labs with role-playing drills on exercises, presentation skills, etc. to master the position professionally.

Level 1 – Nationally Certified Personal Trainer: Successfully complete the written and practical exams. CPR/AED required.
Level 2 – Nationally Certified Personal Trainer: Successfully complete your Level 1 exams followed by a 30-hour internship to help connect with local employers.

Dance - Shag

Learn the basic shag steps including turns with this fun dance moves. Couples are preferred but singles are welcomed. If students are couples, each person is required to register and pay for registration fee separately. Please wear comfortable foot wear.

Dance - Waltz & Foxtrot

The Foxtrot is the foundation for many of the social dances that are danced today. It is by far the most popular social dances in the world. The dance is the easiest dances to learn, so come and join us in some fun with dancing. Please wear comfortable foot wear.

Dance - Beginner Rumba & Cha-Cha

Students will learn basic steps of two favorite Latin dances, the Rumba and Cha-Cha. Two weeks will focus on the basics of Rumba and two weeks will focus on the basics of Cha-Cha. The basic steps taught includes the box step, under-arm turns, back-to-back and crossover basics.  Please wear comfortable footwear. The intent of this course is to prepare students for dan in a social setting.  Etiquette and style techniques will be taught.  Upon completion of classes students should be prepared to advance to intermediate classes.

Yoga - Beginning

This course is designed to give participants a basic introduction to yoga, its history, its benefits, and the basic yoga asana(poses).The class will be taught in a Hatha flow yoga format. Please wear comfortable clothing. You will need to bring on the first day of class, a yoga mat & 2 blocks. Although no experience is necessary to learn and enjoy the benefits of yoga for your mind and body, you should always check with your doctor before beginning any new exercise program. You will also need to complete a health assessment form in class before beginning the class on the first day.

Yoga - Intermediate

This course is designed to give the participants an Intermediate level to yoga, its history, its benefits, and the intermediate yoga asana (poses). The class will be taught in a Hatha flow yoga format. Please wear comfortable clothing. You will need to bring a yoga mat & 2 blocks. Students will need a beginners’ level of experience for this class, you should always check with your doctor before beginning any exercise program, you will also need to complete a health assessment form in class before beginning the class.
