How can you get Involved?

GTCC seeks to develop shadowing, cooperative education, or apprenticeship experiences for our students with local organizations like yours.

Whether a business, government, or public or private agency, if work-based learning seems like a good fit for your organization, please contact us for more information. We look forward to connecting with you!

To partner with GTCC to host a WBL student, you must be willing to provide opportunities to learn through the work the student will do.

Here's how:

  • Provide us with a job description for the student
  • Have a subject-matter expert available to supervise/mentor the student
  • Work with GTCC to develop student learning objectives

Before referring students, we'll contact your business. During the semester you'll host a student, we’ll make at least one visit to your business to see how things are going. Twice during the experience we’ll ask you to complete online evaluations of your student.
