In addition to working with medium to heavy-duty diesel engines, training includes heavy-duty vehicle electrical, climate control, safety systems as well as mechanical systems such as drive train, suspension, steering, and braking systems.
Completion of the two-year diploma program will count toward one year of your Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certification, one of the most sought-after certifications in the field of diesel repair. The Diesel and Heavy Equipment Technology program is also certified by the National Automotive Technicians Education Foundation (NATEF). The certificate program is designed to prepare students to work as apprentices with qualified heavy equipment and transport technicians.
