Introduction to Adobe Photoshop CC

This course will present basic features in Adobe Photoshop CC to prepare and edit images for print and digital media. By the end of the course, you should have the basic knowledge of: navigating the Adobe Photoshop application; downloading, importing, and saving files; applying image corrections; using layers and adjustments and combining two or more images. Introduction to Game Design

Games are increasingly recognized as a tool that can serve many business purposes beyond entertainment. This course provides a general introduction to what goes into the design and development of both video and analog games, with a particular focus on the use of games outside of consumer entertainment. This course teaches the basic concepts of computer programming. The course is designed for beginning programmers and will teach the basic concepts of all programming languages. The language chosen for this course is Python, a flexible, easy to understand language for beginners. Swift Programming Level I

Certification Exam Target: Swift Certification Level 1 certification exam.

Swift, is an intuitive programming language developed by Apple that is easy to learn and it is powerful to use.

This 96-hour course introduces the development of iOS applications and Apple applications using Swift programming language. Emphasis is placed on syntax, object-oriented principles, memory management, and functional concepts of Swift programming.

Upon completion, students should be able to develop fully functional iOS and Apple applications using Swift programming language

  • Students will need access a Mac environment (e.g., Mac computer, Mac Book or MacinCloud virtual environment) outside of class to complete coursework. 
  • MacinCloud is a remote Mac computer rental service that allows you to use a PC, an older Mac, Chromebook, mobile device or a computer with Linux to access an actual Mac through the Internet.

Comp TIA Network+ Certification

This courses is intended for entry-level computer support professionals with a basic knowledge of computer hardware, software, and operating systems who wish to increase their knowledge and understanding of networking concepts and acquire the required skills to prepare for a career in network support or administration, or who wish to prepare for the CompTIA Network+ certification. A typical student taking the CompTIA® Network+® (Exam N10-008) course should have a minimum of nine months of professional computer support experience as a PC or help desk technician.

After taking this course, students will understand the field of network security and how it relates to other areas of information technology. This course also provides the broad-based knowledge necessary to prepare for further study in specialized security fields, or it can serve as a capstone course that introduces the field.

Prerequisite: Networking experience is helpful but not mandatory; A+ certification or equivalent skills and knowledge is helpful but not mandatory.
