Limited Entry Programs

“Limited entry” means that space in programs is limited, and acceptance into them may be competitive.  While you may be admitted to GTCC,  you have to meet additional requirements to be considered for admission into a limited entry program.  A student applying for a limited entry program may transfer in credit hours from other colleges or will need to enroll in classes that will help them meet the minimum requirements for their specific program of choice.  Once the minimum requirements are met, you may be competing against other potential students for acceptance into the program.

Students are encouraged to meet with an Admissions Officer or the Limited Entry Programs Advisor (for Cosmetology and all health programs, excluding EMS) early in the application process.  Each program has a deadline date.  The application process, information sessions (if applicable), requirements, and acceptance process are explained in the program information packets.  Program information packets for all programs are available in the Enrollment Services Center, the Limited Entry Programs Office (for Cosmetology and all health programs, excluding EMS), or by clicking on the program name below.

Students in limited entry programs are expected to complete the curriculum within the designated time-frame for the program.

Students who are unable to maintain satisfactory progress may, through a process of review, be removed from a program. This is especially true for those programs that have clinical education.
